A full week in Milwaukee brought together the four new Community Powered Project Coordinators, six local mentors from libraries and cultural institutions in our four CP communities, and the CP Co-Directors, Arijit Sen and Chrissy Widmayer, for an amazing training in community engagement, reading cultural landscapes, and how to capture the story and history of people and places. Thanks to the Milwaukee County Historical Society for hosting us in their space for the week.

This coming weekend the CP team will be in Merrill, WI putting their skills to use in a practicum with the Merrill Aware and Active Citizens group. Soon, they’ll be ready to return home and use the skills to work toward a community project!
